This Week: December 10th

Happy Holidays, friends! This week, I’ll be sharing about the author talk I attended last week, a bombshell new celebrity memoir, and a list of my favorite holiday books to get you in the mood! While this might be a slower week on the blog, I can promise you there is a lot going on behind the scenes to get ready for the 2024 Reading Challenge!

Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

Discussing Longstreet

Posting on Tuesday, December 12th

Growing up in the Atlanta area, I have always been intrigued by the Civil War. So much of the history here is from that era and it’s always awe inspiring to walk the streets downtown and think of how big named generals may have stood on that ground years ago. This book is about one Confederate General who embraced Reconstruction and turned away from Southern sympathizers after the war.

The Woman in Me

by Britney Spears

Prompt: December Memoir

I was hesitant to pick up this book given the drama surrounding it but was pleasantly surprised. I will say, this is a very sad story for so many reasons. Read with the mindset that every situation has at least two sides and this is only one person’s truth, it was interesting to hear her take on some of the biggest moments of her life. I would be interested to hear from the other parties involved to see how their recollections match up to what is found on the pages here.
