What’s your favorite candy? It’s a tough choice for me (hello, sweet tooth!) but….I think I’d have to pick Reese’s Cups! Today is World Chocolate Day, so I thought we could look through some books about our favorite food group! Click any of the images below to grab your copy of these great books at Bookshop.org
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Roald Dahl’s classic book is a children’s favorite and ALL about chocolate! I read this book to my son a while back – you can read my full review here. I think our favorite part was how many different types of chocolate and candy were included! While the book is a little different than either movie it inspired, we love it!
The Chocolate Touch
Patrick Skene Catling delivers a unique spin on the class tale of King Midas. Published nearly 20 years ago, this book became a fast favorite for the little kids in my life. It begs the reader to answer the question, “can you really have too much chocolate?” Not sure how you would answer, but I don’t think there’s such a thing!
On the Corner of Chocolate Avenue
Have you ever wondered how the Hershey company got it’s start? This book follows Milton Harvey as he starts his company. The real life Willy Wonka’s biography is full of STEAM themes and photos to keep readers of all ages engaged!
Making Chocolate: From Bean to Bar to S’more: A Cookbook
I can’t make a list of books about chocolate without a cookbook! This amazing book is from the famous Dandelion Chocolate in San Fransico. They are known for their 2-ingredient chocolate and simple techniques, and for the amazing creations they make. This book covers it all from how to use and make chocolate at home, to how to source chocolate, to tips for how to scale up. This is a great book for the home cook and baker!
