We are 25% of the way through 2023! How are you doing with your reading goals? I set my annual goal at 104 books (2 books per week) and have finished 32 books – 7 ahead of schedule!
It’s also time to look back at what we read in March and plan ahead for April. Here’s the books that got 5 stars from me this month:

March Reads
In March, I read 11 books – 5 audiobooks and 6 print. The links below will take you to the reviews previously posted. Visit this list on the Bookshop page for links to purchase a copy of each yourself!
- 5 Stars
- Choosing to SEE, Mary Beth Chapman
- Independence, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
- Lonesome Dove, Larry McMurtry
- 4 Stars
- Diana: Her Own Story in Her Own Words, Andrew Morton
- Jacqueline Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy
- Quentins, Maeve Binchy
- Start With Why, Simon Sinek
- The Help, Kathryn Stockett
- The Invention of Wings, Sue Monk Kidd
- 3 Stars
- The Secret Adversary, Agatha Christie
- 2 Stars
- Demon Copperhead, Barbara Kingsolver
My favorite this month was Independence. A tale of 3 sisters coming of age during the Indian independence from Brittan and partition into two states, this book explores family commitments, cultural and religious norms, and female empowerment. With mentions of real events and people, this book is historical fiction at it’s best!
