We have finished our first genre of reading through the library in 2026 – how did you like the Science Fiction books? This month, we’re skipping over to the Romance section, perfect for Valentines Day later this month! I tend to read Romance novels when I’ve read a few too many heavy books and need a break. One of my favorite subgenres of Romance tends to be Sports-themed Romance novels – the pro-athletes meet girl-next-door type. What’s your favorite type?

If I gave you a list of all the Romance novels we’ve reviewed at Read With Lindsey, it would be quite long. Instead, let me share with you some of the top books added to our StoryGraph challenges so far for the categories:
- Adrift, Ellie Pond
- Better Than The Movies, Lynn Painter
- Book Lovers, Emily Henry
- Comeback, Rebecca Jenshak
- Crash Test, Amy James
- The Dead Romantics, Ashley Poston
- Deep End, Ali Hazelwood
- Fangirl Down, Tessa Bailey
- Great Big Beautiful Life, Emily Henry
- The Happy Ever After Playlist, Abby Jimenez
- Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute, Talia Hibbert
- Kilt to Order, Susannah Nix
- A Lodge Affair, Rachel LaBerge
- Marshmallow Mountain, AJ Truman & MA Wardell
- My Phony Valentine, Courtney Walsh
- Pitcher Perfect, Tessa Bailey
- Pucking Around, Emily Rath
What would you add in? There are so many different directions to go with this genre – closed door, open door, smut, Billionaire, MC…the list goes on and on. Do you have a favorite?
Any time I think “Romance”, I think Motown and Oldies music – it’s what I grew up on and what I love the most. There’s really just so many different directions to go with romance in terms of music. We’ve included some newer tracks along with some of my Motown favorites in our playlist this month. At just over an hour, this month’s list is perfect for your date night in or just a longer reading session.
