This Week: August 31st

I woke up this morning thinking we still had a few weeks left before Labor Day…but that’s tomorrow! How are we already at the end of another month?! I hope you and your family are celebrating safely this weekend – we are spending some time finishing up projects around the house and reading lots of good books! I’m a bit behind on my reading and need to catch up!

With the new month, comes a new theme – Orange! We will dive into that theme a little more with our post on Thursday complete with reading suggestions and a reading playlist. Our weekly theme has us reading books with fruit on the cover which is great for this month’s color! I couldn’t believe how many books had oranges on the covers! I’m also reading Bill O’Reilly’s newest – history and foreign policy buffs are going to love this one!

Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

Bitter Orange

by Claire Fuller

Posting on Tuesday, September 2nd

When I started searching for a book to meet this week’s theme, I really did have a lot of options, but this one caught my eye – the realistic cover art is stunning! If you’re a fan of Agatha Christie, this one will be right up your alley!

Here’s some other great options for this prompt:

Sponsored Read – Week 36

Confronting Evil

by Bill O’Reilly & Josh Hammer

Posting on Saturday, September 6th

I haven’t always agreed with O’Reilly’s political points, but his writing is impecable. I thoroughly enjoyed the Killing series and am enjoying the Confroting series as well! This is the second book in the later, following up on his 2024 release Confronting the Presidents which explored each of our leaders and introduced readers to facts and events not commonly discussed. Confronting Evil will do the same on the worldwide scale, looking at some of the most infamous men in global history.
