The summer is coming to an end and our house is headed into back to school mode – are you? Our prompts this month honor the struggles that come with the busy running around that comes with this time of year. Quick books, fairytale retellings, and coming of age novels all feel right for this month. We’re also reading books with one of my favorite colors as the theme – coral! What are you reading this month?

Over the past few years, we’ve read a few books that fit with this theme. Here’s the ones that received full reviews on the site:
- Betting on You, Laurie Ruetimann
- The Only Woman in the Room, Marie Benedict
- The River We Remember, William Kent Krueger
Looking for more? Here’s a few you might like:
Coral Covers
- The Great Alone, Kristin Hannah
- LA Weather, Maria Amparo Escandon
- Lessons in Chemistry, Bonnie Garmus
- Thanksgiving, Janet Evanovich
- Winter in Paradise, Elin Hilderbrand
Coral in the Title
- Coral Cottage, Jan Moran
- Crown of Coral and Pearl, Mara Rutherford
- The View from Coral Cove, Amy Clipston
What books would you add to this list?
There really aren’t a lot of songs with the word “coral” in them – I was surprised by that! I think we found a few great choices though. I hope you enjoy this playlist while you read this month!
