This Week: June 29th

This week was always one of my favorites growing up – it’s the start of my birthday month and…there’s fireworks! The Independence Day holiday was always split between time at the golf course (and swimming pool) with my dad and time at my family’s farm having fun with my cousins. In high school, it was also my reminder to start cramming for my summer reading deadlines – if you’re reading this and have deadlines…get to it!

This week, we’re honoring the Independence Day holiday by reading books set in Washington D.C.. I’ll also be sharing a great upcoming release by one of my favorite authors and our monthly theme and playlist. What are you reading this week?

Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

July Theme

Since it’s my birthday month, I chose one of my favorite colors for this month’s theme – turquoise! I can’t wait to share our reading playlist with you, too!

Do you love Will Trent? Then you will love Emmy Clifton! Karin Slaughter’s upcoming release is absolutely stunning. Set in rural south Georgia and focused around a law enforcement family, Slaughter mixes real life challenges with ripped from the news nightmare headlines!
