This Week: April 27th

It’s another offline weekend for our family as we celebrate our youngest’s birthday. I have prescheduled this post, so I’m likely recovering from creating a very specific character cake he requested and all the family fun right now with my earbuds in and listening to my audiobooks! I hope you’re having a relaxing day with a good book, too!

Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

This mystery fits our theme more than just our theme this week – it’s about a jockey, too, so it’s perfect for the Kentucky Derby week!

Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt:

  • Bestseller: Seabiscuit, Laura Hillenbrand
  • General Fiction: The Black Stallion, Walter Farley
  • Romance: Riders, Jilly Cooper
  • Thriller: The Horsewoman, James Patterson and Mike Lupica
  • Nonfiction: Of Women and Horses, GaWaNi Pony Boy and Gabriele Boiselle

May Theme

We’ll be taking a look at great options for the May theme of yellow and sharing our reading playlist for the month!
