After a week of strong storms in our area, including a tornado that struck just down the street, we’re spending the weekend outside enjoying some sun! While the family is riding bikes and doing yard work, I’m listening to my audiobooks and networking with authors and industry people to be able to bring you more new books throughout the year. This week, we’re reading a new book that hit shelves earlier this year, a nonfiction about Andrew Jackson and the Trail of Tears, and a really beautiful new release coming out later this year!
Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

RWL Reading Challenge – Week 16: A New Release in 2025
Deep End
by Ali Hazelwood

Two collegiate athletes find themselves in an interesting situation – they can help each other get through some hard moments in training, further an intern project, and…release some tension in the bedroom. This steamy book has boy-next-door vibes but delivers all the spice of romance novel. I did not want to put this one down!
Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt:
- Bestseller: Sunrise on the Reaping, Suzanne Collins
- General Fiction: My Friends, Frederik Backman
- Romance: Atmosphere, Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Thriller: Wild Dark Shore, Charlotte McConaghy
- Nonfiction: The House of My Mother, Shari Franke
A Brutal Reckoning

Sponsored Read – Week 16
Mrs. Endicott’s Splendid Adventure
by Rhys Bowen

This book is what you get when you mix a bit of Eat, Pray, Love with Under the Tuscan Sun and a lot of historical romance novels set in WWII. It is a beautiful tale of female power and community during the German occupation.
