March brought so many great adventures our way! We started the month at the Amelia Island Book Festival and have enjoyed some great Friends of Library book sales and virtual author events since then. With warming temps, I’m excited to see more in person gatherings around Georgia coming up! Have you been enjoying any good book related events in your area? I’d love to hear about them!
In March, I reviewed 10 books – 5 audiobooks and 5 physical copies. Let’s take a look back the reviews of those books – click below to visit the reviews:
5 Stars
- Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Jessica Guerrieri
- The Book Club for Troublesome Women, Marie Bostwick
- Party of Liars, Kelsey Cox
4 Stars
- Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans, Brian Kilmeade and Don Yaeger
- The Deathly Grimm, Kathryn Purdie
- Kilt to Order, Savannah Nix
- Light a Penny Candle, Maeve Binchy
- The Secret Book of Flora Lea, Patti Callahan Henry
3 Stars
- A is for Alibi, Sue Grafton
- Greetings from Somewhere Else, Monia McInerney
This month, we had three 5-star books, two with perfect 5.0 scores. All three are new releases coming out this year and I’m so excited I got to share them with you! My favorite book this month kept me on my toes in all the right ways and has me rethinking my stance on thrillers in general. The multiple viewpoints, the fantastic storytelling, the absolutely beautiful way the setting becomes a character as much as the people led me to choose Kelsey Cox’s Party of Liars as our Top Book for March!
April Reading Plan
April is a big month in our house – both my husband and my son celebrate birthdays in April. I chose our monthly theme, purple, in my son’s honor – it’s his favorite color. I also chose the new releases prompt in honor of their birthdays. Additionally, April is home to several bookish holidays including School Librarian Day on the 4th, Independent Bookstore Day on the 26th, and Library Worker’s Week starting on the 7th. What are you most looking forward to this month?

A few sponsored books I’m reading this month:
- Austen at Sea, Natalie Jenner
- Sapphires and Secrets, Ella Strike
- Mrs. Endicott’s Splendid Adventure, Rhys Bowen
I can’t wait to read these great books with you – keep an eye out for the weekly previews on Sundays for what I’m reviewing each week!
