I love reading books before watching their screen adaptations, and I’m excited I got the chance to do that with this week’s choice! Also, you know it’s going to be a good book when the royals are producing the movie! Archwell Productions, the film company founded by Prince Harry and Megan Markle, acquired the rights and are rumored to be bringing it to screens this year – I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read it! We are also reading the latest book in the Ryanverse, this time a Jack Ryan, Jr. novel – did you hear about the new Jack Ryan movie coming to screens soon, too?
Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

RWL Reading Challenge – Week 9: Becoming a Movie in 2025
Meet Me at the Lake
by Carley Fortune
Posting on Tuesday, February 25th
This is a slow burn romance for the 20-somethings you will love! There’s a mental health awareness element here that I didn’t catch until late in the book – I can understand why Archwell Productions picked this up.
Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt:
- Bestseller: Animal Farm, George Orwell
- General Fiction: Frankenstein, Mary Shelley
- Romance: Book Lovers, Emily Henry
- Thriller: Missing You, Harlan Coban
- Nonfiction: Not Without Hope, Nick Schuyler & Jere Longman
