When you were little, what did you want to grow up to be? My first love was dinosaurs and paleontology. The mid-1980’s saw some great finds both in the fields of paleontology and anthropology. I wanted to travel to all the big digs – the American west, Brittan, and Africa. I never made it to any of those, but this week’s readings are taking us there! We are also reading debut releases from great authors and learning more about our early presidents.
Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

I’ve chosen yet another book made into a movie or TV show for our weekly prompt. Have you seen this one on the small screen? I’m actually watching it while writing this right now. I loved this book and I think you will, too!
Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt in popular genres:
- Bestseller: We Are the Brennans, Tracey Lange
- General Fiction: The Prophets, Robert Jones Jr.
- Romance: Adelaide, Genevieve Wheeler
- Thriller: The Scapegoat, Sarah Davis
- Nonfiction: All Things Are Too Small, Becca Rothfeld
