This Week: November 24th

Happy Thanksgiving! Have you started cooking yet? We’re having a small gathering here, but doing it all big time – turkey, sides, desserts, rolls, all of it! Don’t forget to favorite our Thanksgiving playlist on Spotify – it’s great for background music for your gathering! By the way, my work family and I are debating….cranberry sauce: whole berry, jellied, or ewww get it off the table? Share your choice in the comments!

Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

by Penny Watson

Rotating Posts – Week 48: TBR

The Achilles Trap

by Steve Coll

Posting on Saturday, November 30th

This has been on my TBR shelf since I heard the author speak at the Atlanta History Center earlier this year. Growing up in the era of the first and second Gulf Wars, I thought I understood the motivations behind the war, but this book shines an entirely new light on Saddam Hussein and the role America played in setting the stage for decades of skirmishes in the region.
