September Recap & October Prompts

We read a lot of books this month! I really enjoyed a variety of our books from the Fall themes, as well as some of our holiday themed books like those about grandparents and by Hispanic authors. What was your favorite?

This month, I reviewed 12 books – 6 audiobooks and 6 physical copies. Let’s take a look back the reviews of those books – click below to visit the reviews:

Even our 4 star books have had me talking about them all month, but our two 5-star books really took the cake for me. As much as I love Carolyn McBride’s new series, Fredrik Backman’s My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry was my top pick for the month! Backman’s way of discussing mental health and community involvement always hits home for me. What an outstanding read!

October Reading Plan

This really is my favorite time of year – it’s getting cooler, sweaters are coming out of storage, lots of leaves changing colors, and the light just does something filtering through the trees….it’s magic! And Halloween Magic is our theme for the month! Additionally, we’ll be celebrating German-American Day and Diwali this month, as well as my 10th wedding anniversary. What are you most looking forward to this month?

This month’s prompts for the US States challenge are:

States:

  • South Carolina
