July Recap & August Prompts

I’m not sure if I was prepared for all the good books we read this month! Six 5-star books is a new record for one month! Each of these was a great choice for different reasons. What did you think about these?

This month, I reviewed 13 books – 8 audiobooks and 5 physical copies. Let’s take a look back the reviews of those books – click below to visit the reviews:

The 5-star books spread across several genres this month – thrillers, romcom, young adult, and general fiction. Again, each was loved for different reasons, but there can only be one top book for the month. This month’s selection was by a repeat best book of the month author and someone who is by far one of my favorite authors! Congratulations to Heather Webber and her brand new release A Certain Kind of Starlight – our only perfect 5.0 rated book in July!

August Reading Plan

Most of the local school districts around here either went back to school this week or will in the next week. Since so many of you have kids heading back to school like me, this month’s theme “Back to School” felt appropriate! We are also looking to read some great books with animals on the cover (you’ll love this one!), books set in a bookshop, and those authored by comedians and female authors.

This month’s prompts for the US States challenge are:

States:

  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio

Other books I’m reading this month:

  • 32. Nonfiction: America’s Founding Women
  • 33. Sponsored: Spirit Crossing
  • 34. TBR Stack: tbd
  • 35. Sponsored: tbd

I can’t wait to read these great books with you – keep an eye out for the weekly previews on Sundays for what I’m reviewing each week!
