How can we be halfway through the year already? This is a great spot to check on your reading goals for the year if you set an annual goal. I’m a little behind on my reading schedule – how are you doing? We really have read so many great books in such a short period of time!
This month, I reviewed 13 books – 6 audiobooks and 7 physical copies. Let’s take a look back the reviews of those books – click below to visit the reviews:
5 Stars
- Bad River, Marc Cameron
- The Last Slave Ship, Ben Raines
- The River We Remember, William Kent Krueger
4 Stars
- The Cicada Spring, Carolyn McBride
- Enemy Women, Paulette Jiles
- The Guncle, Steven Rowley
- Holiday Country, Inci Atrek
- The Home Place, Carrie La Seur
- Legends of the Fall, Jim Harrison
3 Stars
- Biloxi, Mary Miller
- The Gutsy Girl, Kate White
- James Madison and the Making of America, Kevin R.C. Gutzman
- My Magnolia Summer, Victoria Benton Frank
We had three great books to earn five stars this month, but the top book was easy for me – Bad River is the latest installment of the Arliss Cutter series. I really fell in love with Marc Cameron’s style through his work on the Jack Ryan books, but the Arliss Cutter books sealed the deal for me. This one is so great! You can read my full review here.
