If you are a fan of Frederik Backman, you’ll love Mary Miller! This southern novel has the twists and turns that keep you on your toes, but Miller really hones in on the main character’s relationships and how they have changed over the years, but also how they help him shift into a better version of himself.
Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt in popular genres:
- Bestseller: The Help, Kathryn Stockett
- General Fiction: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Tennessee Williams
- Romance: Shaking the Sugar Tree, Nick Wilgus
- Thriller: A Time to Kill, John Grisham
- Nonfiction: Dispatches from Pluto, Richard Grant
- Kids: Glory Be, Augusta Scattergood

I’m moving on to James Madison in my efforts to read biographies of each American President! This is more of the same in terms of the activities covered – something I had anticipated for the first few presidents. Hoping to learn more new information as this one progresses.
