Last month we celebrated our moms and this month we’re turning our attention to dads! Again, I’m very fortunate to have had so many great men in my life – the man who raised me, my grandfather, uncles, and many leaders in our community. Now watching my husband be a father to our kids, it reminds me that genetics don’t make a man a dad – it’s showing up, giving it your all, and unconditional love the kids in your life. Thank you to the men who do just that.
Here’s a few books we’ve previously reviewed that fit well with our theme this month:
- Big Fish, Dniel Wallace
- Maame, Jessica George
- Dreams from My Father, Barack Obama
- To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee
Some additional books you should check out are:
- Autumn, Karl Ove Knausgaard
- Father of the Bride, Edward Streeter
- Pops, Michael Chabon
- Raised by Unicorns, Frank Lowe
- Someone Could Get Hurt, Drew Magary
- Things My Son Needs to Know About the World, Fredrik Backman
What books would you add to this list?
Oh you guys – I bawled my eyes out when I was putting this playlist together! There are a couple of songs on here that are special to me because of the relationship my husband has with my firstborn. He entered our lives 8 years into my journey as a mom and they have been a pair ever since! You can get the playlist on Spotify here. Any songs you’d add to this playlist?
