It’s the end of another month and the start of week 13. How are you doing with the reading challenge? It’s been fun seeing all your choices for the prompts! I went a little off course with the prompts this week, but stick with me for the explanation.
Here’s the books I’m looking forward to discussing with you this week. Grab your copies of these books by clicking the images below:

RWL Reading Challenge – Week 13: Easter or Bunny Themed
1916: A novel of the Irish rebellion
by Morgan Llywelyn
Posting on Monday, March 25th
This was an interesting read – it starts with the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 and flows through to the Easter Rising launched by the Irish Republicans in 1916. I’ve always heard about the Easter Rising, but didn’t know a lot before reading this. It was interesting to see how the mentality was developed and changed over the 4 years covered in the book.
Here’s some other great books that would work for this prompt in popular genres:
- Best Seller: The Velveteen Rabbit, Margery Williams Bianco & William Nicholson
- General Fiction: The Easter Parade, Richard Yates
- Romance: The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes, Anna McPartlin
- Mystery/Thriller: The Easter Make Believers, Finn Bell
- Nonfiction: Killing Jesus, Bill O’Reilly & Martin Dugard
- Kids: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll

Spicy romance warning! I knew this was a romance and guessed it would be a little spicy….but this? This is SPICY! The girl next door has been in love with the main character for nearly her entire life. He’s a troubled soul that joined the military and moved away, only to come back when her business associations put her in the crosshairs of some very dangerous people. Can he save her, or will he lose her forever?
