Holiday Themed Books

It’s time to get in the holiday mood if you aren’t already. Put on that holiday/winter playlist, turn on the Christmas lights or light the menorah, and grab a good holiday themed book (or two!). Here’s a few of my favorites:

Hanukkah themed

The Matzah Ball has quite the twist! Rachel is a writer who is known for her Christmas romances. So when her editor asks her to write for Hanukkah, she isn’t sure where to start. She decides to use the Matzah Ball for inspiration, but it connects her with an old nemesis. Will she be able to write her Hanukkah story…or will she lose her contract?

Recommended For You is a cute story about two teens working at a bookstore. They are in a hot competition to see who can sell the most books and get the holiday bonus. These rivals fight it out, but start to realize how much they have in common. It’s a bookstore romance you will love!

Christmas themed

The Santa Suit has all the things you love about Mary Kay Andrews. Small town romance at the holidays, this story features a woman who buys a farmhouse, sight unseen, and then finding that the previous family left most of their belongings….including a Santa suit! That suit inspires connections and reminiscence throughout the town and leads to a little bit of magic along the way!

Holiday Romance is another cute story you’ll love! The couple at the center of this story fly home to Ireland every Christmas together. It takes a full 10 years before a romance starts to develop, but when it does, it feels like it’s always been there between them. This one made me want to hop on a plane as soon as I read it!

Kids Christmas Books

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a Christmas classic! Follow along as the Herdman kids join in the local church Christmas pageant…and nearly destroy everything! My son adored this book when we read it together last year – your kids will, too!

New Years Books

This Time Next Year is similar to Holiday Romance in that the main couple are around each other for years before a romance finally happens. Born in the same hospital, at the same events along the years, one fateful New Years Eve finally brings them together! I’m excited this will be making it’s way to the big screen in 2024!

What are your favorite holiday themed books? I’d love to add them to my TBR list, so drop them in the comments!
