After months of multiple 5 star reviews, November only had one book worthy of 5 stars – Nights in Rodanthe. This book was just the romance I needed this time of year. It probably helped that we were coming to the Outer Banks for the Thanksgiving holiday, too, staying just south of Rodanthe for the week.
Overall, November was a slower reading month as I am working ahead on my reading list for the rest of the year in preparation for the Read With Lindsey 2024 Reading Challenge! I finished 11 this month – 5 audio and 6 print books. Let’s take a look back the reviews of those books – click below to visit the reviews:
5 Stars
- Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks
4 Stars
- Born Confused by Tanua Desai Hidier
- Lawrence in Arabia by Scott Anderson
- Mayflower by Nathaniel Philbrick
- Murder in Coweta County by Margaret Anne Barnes
- The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman
- The Getaway List by Emma Lord
- Tom Lake by Ann Patchett
- Under an Outlaw Moon by Dietrich Kalteis
- Wild by Cheryl Strayed
3 Stars
- Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson
December Reading Plan
While I’ve been averaging around 14 books a month, December is going to be much slower. I am looking to start reading January’s books by mid-month so I can stay caught up on writing reviews for the prompts, but there’s still a lot of great books coming up! You can grab your copies at our Bookshop.org page.
Booklist Queen Reading Challenge Prompts for December:

A red cover
My Side of the River
by Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez

Reread a Favorite
The Scarlet Letter
by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Bottom of the TBR list
Still Me
by Jojo Moyes

A Holiday Romance
Holiday Romance
by Catherine Walsh
December Book Club selections:

The Friends & Fiction Book Club prompt by a F&F guest: The Santa Suit
by Mary Kay Andrews
So, this might be a bit of a stretch – MKA is a co-founder of the club, not a guest, but…I am desperate to read another of her holiday romances after reading Bright Lights, Big Christmas earlier this year!
December Monthly Holidays:

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day – 7th
Countdown to Pearl Harbor
by Steve Twomey
November Nonfiction:

Autobiography
The Woman in Me
by Britney Spears
I can’t wait to read these great books with you – keep an eye out for the weekly previews on Sundays for what I’m reviewing each week!
