Hi friends! I am VERY excited to announce our own Read With Lindsey 2024 Reading Challenge!
For the past 11 months or so, you’ve been reading along with me as I worked through a few different reading challenges and book groups like the Booklist Queen Reading Challenge and the Friends and Fiction Book Club. But keeping up with all the different book clubs and reading challenges has gotten complicated, with the different challenges overlapping quite a bit this year.
To simplify my reading schedule and get me back to reading the books I love, I’m releasing our own reading challenge for 2024! I am still working to put together the list of prompts, but you can expect prompts like “with a dragon” for Chinese New Year, “rose or candy themed title” for Valentines, and “set in Colonial America” for Independence Day. Some additional details:
- Full prompt list will be posted Friday, November 24th (the day after Thanksgiving)
- There is one prompt per week – 52 total
- Prompts may be holiday related or just random book categories I enjoy
- Social Media tags: #RWLReadingChallenge #RWL2024
At the beginning of the month, I’ll release social media graphics with that month’s prompts and overall theme (ex: February is Romance, April is Flowers, August is Back to School). Each Sunday, I’ll share what I’m reading for that week’s prompt and some other great options that fit the theme to help you find your perfect read.
I’ll be reading additional books, too – my goal for 2024 is 150 books total! To reach that goal, I’ll need around 3 books a week. I’ve decided to do the US states challenge (one state per week, followed by Washington DC and the US territories to complete the year). I’ll still be reading ARCs and I’m also going to work on busting through my TBR stack, too. Starting with January, you’ll see posts and articles in this order:
- Sunday: Agenda for the Week
- Monday: Reading Challenge Prompt
- Wednesday: Author Events or other Special posts
- Thursday: US States Challenge
- Saturday: ARC’s or books from my TBR stack
I hope you’ll join us for the full 2024 reading challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing your choices for the prompts and reading your reviews, too!
