What To Read This Week

One full week of back to school under our belts! Are you getting into a new routine? I’m finding my time to read and write a little easier to work in now! This week, we have 3 more great books to discuss, plus the recap of August (and preview of September!). To grab your copy of these books, click the images below:

Angels & Demons

by Dan Brown

Posting on Monday, August 28th

Prompt: A genre you don’t usually read

Are you a fan of the Tom Hanks movie “The Da Vinci Code”? Then you might love this one. This is the first book in the series about the Illuminati by Dan Brown (Da Vinci is the second). Angels & Demons falls into the Suspense Thriller category – not my favorite. I’m all for mystery or suspense books like the Jack Ryan books, but this one is a little more grotesque.

New Release Tuesday

Posting on Tuesday, August 29th

The Butterfly Collector

by Tea Cooper

Posting on Thursday, August 31st

Prompt: Sponsored Read

The cover of this read caught my attention as soon as I saw it! I’m honored to have the opportunity to review the ARC of the audiobook version this week! Also – personal connection – the Monarch Butterfly is very dear to my heart as we released them at my best friend’s funeral nearly 25 years ago. It was also my first tattoo. Very excited for this one!

August Recap/September Preview

Posting on Friday, September 1st

Based on feedback from the readers, I’m returning to including both the month-end recap and the next month preview in this post. I’m excited to share the books we have coming up the next few weeks!

Kinfolk

by Sean Dietrich aka Sean of the South

Posting on Saturday, September 2nd

Prompt: Sponsored Read

This is southern gothic at it’s best. With hints of To Kill a Mockingbird and Demon Copperhead, this one has me intrigued! This is the third audio and fourth overall ARC for August – that’s the most I’ve been offered in one month!
