Introducing Patreon & Added Benefits for Subscribers

Hi Friends!

I have enjoyed getting to know you through our Social Media channels and comments on our blog the past 6 months.  I have really enjoyed sharing books with you and talking about our favorites.

Now comes the tough part no creator wants to admit: it can be expensive to run a blog.  Between website fees, the cost of books, tech investments and other expenses to keep things running, things are starting to add up.  This little hobby takes up a good chunk of time, too, and I need your help to keep moving forward.

To offset the costs of running Read With Lindsey, I have decided to begin offering subscriber only content on Patreon like early access to reviews of books before they are released (like the review of At the Coffee Shop of Curiosities or The Paris Daughter), exclusive monthly reading checklists, and discounts on branded merchandise (more to come on this soon!).  We are also working on potential weekly video releases for subscribers, too!  Don’t worry – the majority of our content will still be available to the public here on the blog, but I hope you’ll help support us as we grow.

We have chosen to partner with Patreon for this adventure after careful consideration of our options.  I am personally a patron of several writers and artists through the platform and am familiar with their process.  Before selecting Patreon, we investigated several other platforms, including the WordPress options available with our blog, but felt like they wouldn’t give us the flexibility in price structures and freedom from unnecessary fees to best support our future.
