My list of new books is LONG today! There are great books from so many well-known authors showing up on local bookstore shelves this morning. I am providing links to the Amazon Kindle book pages below, but I always urge you to stop by your local independent bookstore to pick up your books in print!
Spare by Prince Harry – Quite possibly the most talked about new release of the year, Spare by Prince Harry promises to reveal secrets of the royal household and the truth behind Megxit. The second-born child of an heir to the throne is often referred to as the “spare” – the backup plan should something happen to the child ahead of them in the succession plan. Prince Harry has lived his entire life in the shadow of his brother, the now Prince of Wales. This book is his vehicle to step out into the limelight on his own.
City Under One Roof by Iris Yamashita – In smalltown Alaska, things are a little…different. When an investigator is brought in to look into a possible murder, she becomes trapped in town by a blizzard. As the outsider, her presence is made even more awkward by the living situation in town – all 200+ residents live in a single high-rise apartment building together.
The Nazi Conspiracy by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch – It’s the middle of World War II and the Nazis are looking to disrupt the Allies power and plans. What better way to take care of that than by killing the leaders of the Big 3 – President Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin, and Winston Churchill? This critically acclaimed writing duo has authored some of my favorite history books including The Lincoln Conspiracy and The First Conspiracy. I’m looking forward to reading this book as well!
The House of Wolves by James Patterson and Mike Lupica – This book actually hit shelves yesterday! Fans of shows like Yellowstone will enjoy this latest thriller from this writing duo. Full of family drama and with a strong female lead, House of Wolves is sure to be a best seller!
All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham – This highly anticipated book has been the talk of several of my book groups on social media! The story of a mother out to find her stolen child, this thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat!
Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen – With both Lunar New Year and Valentine’s right around the corner, this would be a great addition to your bookshelf! This foes-turned-friends-turned-lovers novel is loaded with Chinese astrology and a great love story!

The Green Piano by Roberta Flack – The voice behind hits like “Killing Me Softly With His Song” is sharing how she found music as a little girl. As a musician and mom to a very musical bunch, I can’t wait to read this with my little ones!
The Kindest Red by Ibtihaj Muhammad & SK Ali – This is the second book in this series about friendship and acceptance. This great kids book shows the power of friends coming together to learn about and protect the heritage behind the hijab.
Put Your Shoes On And Get Ready by Senator & Pastor Raphael Warnock – This autobiography from Georgia’s first black US Senator shows the value and the power in being ready for whatever might come your way. Warnock’s story is inpirational – a small town kid, turned successor to the pulpit of the church Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr lead, to unlikely US Senator. As a Geogia voter, I have met my senator in person and am excited to read this to my kids!
Harriet Tubman Fighter for Freedom by James Buckley Jr – the latest installment of the Show Me History series focuses on one of my favorite women in history – the Underground Railroad conductor and freedom fighter Harriet Tubman. This series combines historical facts and comic book graphics to make history come alive for middle grade readers!
Here We Go Digging For Dinosaur Bones by Susan Lendroth & Bob Kolar – While this book is already available in paperback and Kindle editions, the board book is being released today! I would be considered a horrible mother in my house if I didn’t include this book! Our kids love dinosaurs, and this book takes readers to an archeological dig uncovering fossils. This award-winning STEM book combines ready with music and will be an instant hit with your dino lover, too!
